Simply stunning Plasma TV-Panasonic TX-P42S10B 42-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p Plasma TV

For stunning picture quality a plasma TV is the natural choice. Panasonic VIERA plasma TVs are renowned for their outstanding picture performance especially in regards to sporting events, action movies and gaming content.

Best motion picture reproduction

Watching TV is about moving images rather than still images. A still image in high resolution looks brilliant on almost any HD TV, but when the images are moving, you can see a clear quality difference as many TVs have difficulties to display fast moving contents without motion blur.

I looked at a number of TV’s in shops (most of which looked dreadful due to the poor quality of the lighting in the shop or perhaps the quality of the feed they were given to display) and read lots and lots of reviews before deciding to buy the Panasonic TX-P42S10B. I am so pleased that I did buy it, as the quality of the picture is breathtaking. Sound quality from the built in speakers is excellent, but for me a TV is all about the picture quality and everytime I look at it I am taken aback by the sheer brilliance of it.

Buy one. You will not be disappointed.

As anyone who is the victim of a power surge or a lightning strike has been to tell you, is with HDTV surge protection in your home is a must. Each year thousands of people end up with fried appliances and computers, because they do not, make that small investment into a surge protector on. Even if you do not live in an area where the storm often comes as the Pacific Northwest, you are still subject to power surges due to maintenance work on power lines and similar types of things. IfYou've just invested the money into an HDTV, then here is a look at HDTV surge protection.

There are two basic lines of thinking when it comes to HDTV surge protection. You can guide you in your local hardware store to buy a basic surge protection and use that. If you use a basic surge protection is better than a not in all, there are things you need to look out for. Not all are made equal to surge. Make sure the ones you bought, can stand up to a Lightning. Some of the protectors on the market are only good for power surges.

A second option is to actually see a surge protector for HDTV Buy "These protectors can be used for about $ 50.00, retail is not only to protect your HDTV and its components, such as a home entertainment system, an HDTV cable box and an expensive game system from lightning and surges, but also with a filter system specifically designed for your HDTV come.

A> HDTV uses much higher frequencies than a normal TV. Sometimes with regular surge protector, the high frequencies of HDTV can bleed through and affect the quality of the image. I few weeks ago a bought a Toshiba 32″ that everybody raved about and sure the depth etc was good..very good BUT the haze and judder drove me crazy. I had done a lot of research prior so was very disappointed…so disappointed that i gave it away to my ladyfriend and resolved that the next time i would get a TV with a perfect picture. I read loads of reviews and in particular took stock of the expert reviewers and to my great surprise found one that said “The Panasonic TH-37PX8BA 37 is perfect”! I checked out the full spec and yes it does have 100hz and yes to all the things i wanted (don’t get confused with the power level of 50hz!) so i decided to get it. It arrived two days ago and in all honesty was a little disappointed..again!(sigh). Now…during my travels i read a review which used the expression “settling in”, a concept which i held no truck with but to my great pleasure the Panasonic TH-37PX8BA 37 has done just that and i can’t fault it…well almost..LOL! The only critisism being that i can’t use the “Dynamic” PDST setting all the time but then i really couldn’t care less because the other settings give crystal clear judder and haze free..yes haze free!!..Using my Sony upscaler it provides me with pictures which i defy anyone to say aren’t as good as full HD..The Panny really is the greatest!! There was some critisism in the expert reviews about how it handles standard definition TV but again once it settles in the Panny is amazing..in fact i was muttering to myself about the definition of Ice Age 2 because i couldn’t quite get the definition i wanted when i remembered that this was a recording from a Freeview transmition i was dealing with..the quality was so good that i had mistaken it for an upscaled DVD picture that wasn’t “just so”!

Make no mistake..i am incredibly critical and i will not live with second best when it comes to my TV. The Panasonic TH-37PX8BA 37 really does give me the best pictures i have ever seen..even in the shops looking at very very expensive systems i have not seen better..i do not beleive there is better..in theory perhaps there is but not to the human eye.
I should mention that these fantastic results do not just arrive automatically all the time but usually the picture is spot on. Sometimes-occassionally you will need to set the picture to get exactly what you want. Regarding sport: Mostly the pictures are wonderful but soccer remains a difficult area…no where near as bad as i had become used to but still a little difficult in that you will need to work the PDST settings to get a haze free picture but rest assured you will get a good picture.

In short: Get it!..do not look any further…do not hesitate..do it and you will live happily everafter in a rosy glow of contentment with your Panasonic TH-37PX8BA 37″….:)

With so many new innovations in television today, it's hard to keep up with all current technologies. Each of these technologies have their advantages and disadvantages. It can be confusing, what are these technologies, and if you really want or need what they have to offer. There are many people who have very good knowledge about all of them, but the vast majority of us is almost like learning a new language. Many of us remember how easy it was to even buy a TV.In the past, all that was necessary to check the size of the screen and if you could afford it. Technology has its advantages, because the picture and sound quality dramatically in recent years made great strides and still continues to advance, along with the addition of many new features. This article is the result of quite a bit of research. In this article I have tried in the basic concepts of what these technologies and how they differ from each other and share. It is my hope that with thisInformation you will be able to better decide which TV is for you to make the best.

LCD, plasma and DLP are the most popular technologies behind displaying pictures on HDTV today. Anyone buying a TV shopper needs to know today, what do these terms mean to buy an intelligent decision about the best TV.

What is LCD? LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. There are a lot of technical jargon, is that the science behind this very demanding and declarescomplicated terms. For the purpose of buying a TV, everything you need to know that LCD TV display type that uses a viscous fluid and a network of transistors to a point off. Direct-view and projection TV, both with this technology, and in both the LCDs require a light to create the brightness.

What are the advantages of LCD televisions?

(1) Low energy consumption. LCD TVs use very low amounts of power.
(2) Cooler operating temperature. The light source (fluorescent –Pear) in an LCD television generates less heat than a Plasma or traditional television.
(3) small amounts of glare.
(4) quality LCD displays have excellent brightness of images and provide more contrast. Compared to plasma TVs, LCD TVs have a higher brightness.
(5) LCD panels can be mounted on walls and do not take up much space. They are generally lighter than plasma TVs.
(6) Quite long display life. The display quality of life of the LCD is approximately 60,000Hours, after which you can replace only the source of light.

What are the disadvantages of LCD televisions?

(1) LCDs are not good for fast moving images, as when objects move quickly across the screen, the image of "delays" and has a tail pointing at the screen when it should not. There are two ways to avoid this problem. With the purchase of LCDs are that 37 "or smaller you will have better image quality, because the delay is less drastic than in the larger LCD TVs. Another option is to buy120Hz LCD one, but these models are in the price is higher than the 60Hz models.
(2) LCD reviews show that brightness is not as good as plasma. Although improved black levels, they are not quite at the level of the plasma.
(3) The angle of an LCD is not as good as a plasma. If you are watching an LCD from a sidelong glance, can diminish the quality of the image. However, this difference between LCD and plasma is not significant.
(4) LCD TVs over 35 "arevery expensive.

What is plasma? Sometimes all that flat-panel HDTVs are known as plasma screens. This is a misnomer. Plasma screens have more in common with Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) TVs than LCDs. The plasma gas on certain points on the front of the TV and the pixel then turns a certain color. Backlights are not necessary with plasma screens because the plasma, the intensity of light, then a wide range of colors, which varies usually an advantage over LCDsbecause with deep black.

What are the advantages of plasma TVs?

(1) Great life. As a rule, at an average use of six hours per day, they take about 20 years.
(2) Better viewing angle. Unlike LCDs, plasma screen has a 180-degree field of view with no loss of image quality, so you can see from every angle.
(3) Excellent contrast ratios, the plasma TVs can show better shadow detail.
(4) Faster response image. Plasma TVs have aexcellent picture response. There is virtually no delay, such as LCDs.
(5) How LCDs, plasma TVs do not have too much space and can be mounted on a wall.

What are the disadvantages of plasma TVs?

(1) image burn-in. Plasma TVs are prone to image burn-in of static images. If you leave the plasma television for many hours, the network would be burned logo on the bottom right corner of the screen-in.
(2) Plasma TVs are not available under 37 ".
(3) ShorterAd lifespan than other types of televisions such as LCDs. Simply by the brightness down, you can extend the life of the display of the plasma TV.
(4) Plasma TVs generate more heat than LCDs.

What is DLP? DLP stands for Digital Light Processing. DLP is a method of rear projection light that has taken the place of the old Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) technology. Unlike CRT DLPs are relatively thin. As LCD is a chip used for the actual image will be shown around, but uses the chipa DLP TV is different. The chip is a DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) called. If you are not to be confused, to simplify them, each pixel on a DMD chip a reflective mirror.

What are the advantages of DLP TVs?

(1) DLP TVs are cheaper than LCD or plasma TVs.
(2) DLP TVs have a good selection of sets in very large sizes.
(3) High brightness and color.

What are the disadvantages of DLP TV?

(1) High maintenance costs. Replace when DLP TVs, which youthe projection lamp, which has a limited lifespan. Not only these can be expensive, but they can also be hard to find.
(2) Not wall mountable. DLP TVs take up more space than LCD TVs and plasma TVs.
(3) Poor sight. As with LCDs than it has already suffered at an angle, the image quality.
(4) Poor picture quality. The image quality is not comparable to plasma TVs and LCD TVs.
(5) image blurring. In DLP TVs fast action scenes may cause a trace of color.

UltimatelyTV, buy what you choose, depends on it, what are your needs and your personal situation. Only you can decide what is best for you and your household, but it's always good to be informed about the choices you have.
